Estimates and marketplace searches
No account or contact details are required to calculate an estimate. We process equipment names, condition selections, prices you enter, and technical request information to provide the service. Equipment searches may be sent to SerpApi to obtain marketplace results. Successful equipment research and pricing evidence are saved and may be reused for up to 60 days before another market check. This pricing reuse period is not a deletion schedule for the catalog or its sources.
Enter equipment information only. Do not enter names, addresses, serial numbers, financial information, or other personal details into model or price fields.
Optional photo identification
Choosing a photo prepares a resized image on your device. Selecting Identify sends that image through our service to OpenAI for equipment-identification suggestions. We do not save the image in our application database or add it to shared value cards. OpenAI may retain data for security, abuse prevention, or legal requirements under its API data controls. Our request to disable stored responses does not guarantee zero provider retention.
Use only photos you have permission to submit, and avoid faces, documents, addresses, or other personal information. You can type a model instead. Identification can be wrong; you choose and confirm the model.
Optional accounts and private saved values
If you create an account, we store your email address, a password hash, verification and reset records, and session information used to keep you signed in. Session cookies are required for account access and expire after seven days unless renewed. Verification and password-reset links expire after one hour. We use Resend to deliver these account messages; the email address and message are processed by Resend for delivery.
Save to account stores the displayed estimate privately under your account, including equipment, conditions, amounts, currency and save date. It does not create a public share link or refresh market prices. Saved values remain until you remove them or request account deletion. Free accounts can keep up to 15 saved estimates. Email us to request deletion of your account; we will verify your identity before processing it.
We use limited technical information, including session IP addresses and browser details, to protect accounts. Sign-in and email request limits use hashed identifiers. Expired limit records are removed during later account requests; expired session and reset records are removed during subsequent account activity. Hosting logs and backups may have separate retention periods.
Sharing is your choice
Selecting Create share link saves the displayed valuation, including equipment names, selected conditions, amounts, currency, and its creation time. Calculating, copying, or printing a result does not create a new shared card. Existing cards created before this notice may have been prepared automatically.
Anyone who obtains a card link can view it without signing in. Links are unlisted, not private. Cards expire 90 days after creation and stop being served by our site. Expired database records are removed during subsequent card creation or when an expired card is accessed. Recipients, messaging services, search services, or other third parties may retain their own copies or previews; expiration cannot recall those copies.
To request earlier removal, email us with the card URL. We may ask for information reasonably needed to verify and handle your request. Avoid sharing a link containing information you do not want its recipients to see.
Technical information and browser preferences
We measure basic site use with daily totals for visits, valuation attempts, usable estimates and partial estimates, grouped by a broad traffic source and public landing page. A visit is a 30-minute window in one browser tab. Tab storage remembers the source category, landing page and which actions have already counted; it contains no visitor ID and closes with the tab. We do not send equipment details, entered prices, photos, account identifiers, full referring URLs or search terms to this measurement endpoint. Analytics totals contain no IP address or browser identifier. Hosting providers still receive technical request information when serving it.
Measurement uses our own service, adds no analytics cookies, and is skipped when Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control is enabled. It is also skipped when tab storage is unavailable. Only the site owner can view reports. Daily totals older than 90 days are removed when later measurement events are received; provider logs and backups may have separate retention.
Our hosting and service providers receive technical information such as IP addresses and request details to deliver and secure the service. Our application uses IP-derived hashes to limit photo and sharing requests; these are not a guarantee of anonymity. Photo allowance records older than 32 days are removed when another identification request is processed. Sharing allowance records remain with the card until removal.
Theme and currency preferences may be stored locally in your browser until you clear site data. We do not add advertising cookies or behavioral marketing trackers to this calculator. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Privacy signals disable usage measurement without changing calculator functionality. Hosting providers may still process technical information for service operation and security.
Providers, messages, and retention
We use Cloudflare for hosting and database services, OpenAI for optional photo identification, and SerpApi for marketplace searches. Their processing may occur in the United States or other countries where they operate. Links to external marketplaces take you to sites with their own policies.
If you email us, your address and message are processed by our email service to answer your request. We retain correspondence as needed to resolve it, document our response, and meet legal obligations. Provider security logs, backups, and legally required records may follow separate retention periods. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to meet legal obligations, protect rights or safety, or investigate abuse.
Your choices and requests
You can avoid photo identification, use the calculator without creating a share link, and clear browser preferences through your browser settings. Email us to request access, correction, or deletion of information relating to you. Available legal rights depend on where you live; we will assess requests under applicable law and may need to verify identity. We do not require sensitive documents unless necessary for the specific request.
Children and changes
The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
We will update this notice when practices change, including before introducing advertising. Material changes will be identified on the site where appropriate, and any legally required consent will be requested. The effective date appears above.
